Corn syrup is awful; my stomach cannot tolerate any amount of this stuff. VERY bad things happen within 6-8 hours of consuming anything with corn syrup, especially high fructose.
This extracted sugar is so potent I can absolutely tell when a bad bowl movement is because I’ve eaten something that contained corn syrup, it’s a harsh internal feeling that leaves me feeling totally depleted.
I recommend you avoid it at all costs.
From an FDA web site report:
“Evidence exists that simple sugars, including glucose and fructose [and, therefore, corn sugar(dextrose), corn syrup including high-fructose corn syrup, and invert sugars] are cariogenic. However, in the quantities that these simple sugars are now consumed in processed foods, their contribution to formation of dental caries should be relatively small. ”
